WHAT DO YOU CALL A PERSON WHO IS UNAWARE? COMATOSE? BEFUDDLED? CONFUSED? INCOMPETENT? SPACED OUT ON DRUGS? LIAR?

[]
GOOD MORNING, SUNSHINE!
*********************************************

A friend sent me this little analysis and I just could not resist putting it here on my Blog.

*********************************************

Barack Obama , through his spokesman, claimed that he was unaware of the tax day tea parties.

Granted, the main stream media has done a good job in
suppressing any sort of coverage ahead of time (and the little coverage they did provide was derisive at best), but how out of touch is the Community Organizer in Chief, really?

THIS MUCH:

- He was unaware that he was attending a church (for 20 years) with a racist pastor who hates America .

- He was unaware that he was family friends with, and started his political career in the living room of, domestic terrorist, William Ayers.

- He was unaware that he had invested in two speculative companies backed by some of his top donors right after taking office in 2005.

- He was unaware that his own aunt was living in the US illegally.

- He was unaware that his own brother lives on pennies a day in a hut in Kenya .

- He was unaware of the AIG bonuses that he and his administration approved and signed into a bill.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of Commerce was under investigation in a bribery scandal.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of the Treasury was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be the U.S. Trade Representative was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the woman he nominated to be his Chief Performance Officer was a tax cheat.

He was unaware that the man he nominated to be #2 at the Environmental Protection Agency was under investigation for mismanaging $25 million in EPA grants.

He was unaware that the man he nominated to be the Deputy Secretary of Education in charge of School Safety was a homosexual atheist who advocates teaching boys in school the mechanics of homosexual activity.

He, a graduate of Harvard Law School specializing in Constitutional Law, was unaware that because he was born a British citizen he is ineligible under the U.S. Constitution to be President of the United States.

For the love of God, there are people in comas that are more aware of world affairs than this smooth talker.

Making the World Safe for Medicaid Fraud

Americans expect to show a photo ID when they board a plane, enter many office buildings, cash a check or even rent a video -- but rarely in voting or applying for government benefits such as Medicaid. Many Democrats seem to view asking citizens for proof of identity as an invasion of privacy -- though what's really being protected is the right to commit identity fraud.

Exhibit A is Tuesday's 13 to 10 party-line vote in the Senate Finance Committee rejecting a proposal to require that immigrants prove their identity when signing up for federal health care programs. Chuck Grassley, the ranking Republican on the committee, said current procedures make it easy for illegal immigrants to use false or stolen identities to get benefits. But he ran into a buzz saw of opposition. Democratic Sen. Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico insisted such fraud was too rare to be worth worrying about: "The way I see the amendment, it's a solution without a problem."

Mr. Grassley admits to being "very perplexed as to why anyone would oppose this amendment." So does Senator Tom Coburn, one of the only two physicians in the Senate. He cites studies suggesting that fraud will cost Medicare and Medicaid about $100 billion this year. Harvard's Dr. Malcolm Sparrow, author of the book "License to Steal," estimates that the losses could easily be higher -- as much 20% or 30% of the trillion-plus dollars of spending represented by Medicaid and Medicare.

You'd think Senate Democrats would be interested in finding out just who is committing that fraud. But Tuesday's vote puts them firmly in the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" camp when it comes to the misuse of taxpayer dollars.

BARRY SOETORO aka BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA
IS A
USURPER

He is not eligible to be
President of the United States
because he is not a Natural Born Citizen
as required by Article Two, Section One, Clause Five of the United States Constitution.

This is a fact REGARDLESS of
where he was born (Mombassa, Hawaii, Chicago, Mecca or Mars).

He is not eligible
because he was not born of
TWO PARENTS
BOTH OF WHOM WERE UNITED STATES CITIZENS
AT THE TIME OF HIS BIRTH
as required by the Constitution.

Barack Hussein Obama Jr. is not eligible to be President of the United States because – according to public admissions made by him – his “birth status was governed” by the United Kingdom. Obama further admits he was a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies at birth.
Since Barack Hussein Obama Jr. was, if born in the state of Hawaii, a dual citizen, who – according to his own State Department – owed allegiance to the Queen of England and United Kingdom at the time of his birth – he cannot therefore be a “natural born” citizen of the US according to Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the US Constitution.
His father, who did not live in the United States for more than a couple of years, was a subject/ciitizen
of Kenya/Great Britain at the time of Barack’s birth and afterwards, AND further, as Barack himself admitted on his website during the 2008 campaign, Barack was therefore born SUBJECT TO THE GOVERNANCE OF GREAT BRITAIN.

Here is a direct quote from Obama's "Fight the Smears/Fact Check" 2008 website:

‘When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children…’ “

The FACT that he was not born of TWO US CITIZEN PARENTS is all that matters. The question of his birth certificate is a distraction (a distraction fostered by Obama’s supporters?) that ought not to occupy our time and resources. BUT if you are really convinced of the value of the COLB (certificate of live birth) that Obama posted on his website, see this:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/9830547/Sun-Yatsen-Certification-of-Live-Birth-in-Hawaii

Also, it is possible that he is not a United States
citizen at all through his mother if he was born in Kenya, as three witnesses have testified. The reason is because his mother could not pass her US citizenship on to her son because she did not live continuously in the United States for five full years after her fourteenth birthday as required by the US immigration law in effect during that period of time.

Also, an excellent introductory primer on Obama Presiidential Eligibility is to be found at:
http://people.mags.net/tonchen/birthers.htm

His usurpation can only be corrected (1) by Congress through his Impeachment and Removal [something which will never happen in a Congress controlled by Pelosi/Reid], or (2) it can be
corrected by his resignation, which could happen if the public presssure on him to resign becomes great enough, or (3) by his removal by the United States Supreme Court affirming a Quo Warranto decision of the United States Federal District Court for the District of Columbia [which process Attorney General Eric Holder would never allow to even begin] or (4) by an amendment to the Constitution,
which will never happen because that again would require the agreement of a Congress controlled by Pelosi/Reid.
_

HERE IS THE QUESTION WHICH EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN SHOULD BE ASKING HIS OR HER CONGRESSMAN AND SENATORS

“During the 2008 election, then Senator Obama published a statement at his website which said that his birth status was ‘governed’ by the British Nationality Act of 1948. Can you please tell me, and the American people, how a person governed - at birth - by British law, can be a natural born citizen of the United States and thus constitutionally eligible to be President of the United States?”

WHOSE MONEY IS IT ANYWAY? IT WILL COST TAXPAYERS $1,300.000 + TO FLY THE OBAMAS TO COPENHAGEN AND BACK

First Lady Michelle Obama arrives in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 to lobby for Chicago as host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics. (AP Photo/Claus Bjoern Larsen, Polfoto)
(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are both traveling to Copenhagen this week to promote Chicago's bid to host to the 2016 Olympic Games--and they will be making the 3,979-mile trip on separate airplanes.

The first lady left on Tuesday night, while the president will leave for Denmark on Thursday night.

Taxpayers will pick up the tab for both jets ferrying the president and first lady separately to Europe.

“Everything they do, whether it’s signing pieces of legislation or flying around the world, everything is costing the taxpayer,” David Williams, vice president of policy for Citizens Against Government Waste, told CNSNews.com. “The taxpayer is picking up the tab for everything.”

The White House announced on Monday that the president would be joining his wife on this European trip, despite indicating earlier this month that the first lady would head up the U.S. Olympic Committee delegation to Copenhagen while Obama remained in the United States to continue pushing for his health care reform plan.

Back on Sept. 11, the White House announced that the first lady would travel to Denmark but not the president.

“President Obama informed IOC [International Olympic Committee] President Count Jacques Rogge today that the fight to pass health insurance reform keeps him from committing at this time to travel to Copenhagen on October 2, but he will continue to work to support Chicago’s bid along with the First Lady and Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to the President, who will accompany the First Lady to Copenhagen,” the Sept. 11 announcement said.

Repeated calls and e-mails to the first lady’s press office to confirm whether she is traveling on her appointed aircraft or will use the second presidential Boeing 747 were not answered as this story went to press.

As reported earlier by CNSNews.com, a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report cited two cost estimates for an hour of air travel by the president, vice president and first lady. One estimate comes from the White House Military Office, the other from the U.S. Air Force.

Using the CRS cost estimates and the inflation adjuster from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the cost for the one-way 7.5-hour trip from Washington, D.C. to Copenhagen on the first lady's plane would range from $29,532 (White House Military Office) to $107,717 (U.S. Air Force).

The cost for the president to fly Air Force One on the one-way 7.5-hour trip from Washington, D.C. to Copenhagen ranges from $343,448 (White House Military Office) to $567,089 (U.S. Air Force).

When asked by CNSNews.com why the president decided to travel to Copenhagen, a White House spokesman said Obama did not think the short trip abroad would harm his efforts to promote health care reform.

“The president decided to make the brief trip to Copenhagen when it became clear that he could do so without negatively affecting his efforts on health care and the other important challenges facing this country,” spokesman Joshua Earnest told CNSNews.com.

According to the White House, the President will return to the United States on Friday afternoon. But it was unclear from the White House advisory when the First Lady would return.

When asked by CNSNews.com why the president and first lady are traveling on separate planes, Earnest said: “Mrs. Obama is leading the delegation to Copenhagen, and leaves with [White House senior advisor] Valerie Jarrett on Tuesday evening. Mrs. Obama will speak during the presentation on Friday, and will make a deeply personal appeal to the voting members before introducing the president.”

“She will spend Wednesday and Thursday lobbying individual IOC members in Copenhagen,” Earnest said. “The president will be in Copenhagen on Friday morning and will add his voice to the formal presentation to the IOC.”

Also joining the president and first lady on the two planes are Chicagoans Oprah Winfrey, Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

Chicago joins Madrid, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as the four cities being considered by the IOC.

Obama is the first U.S. president to make an in-person appeal to the IOC, but other world leaders have appeared before the committee to pitch their country as an Olympic venue. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair traveled to Singapore in 2004 when the 2012 games were awarded to London. In 2007, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin went to Guatemala City to win the 2014 games for the Russian city of Sochi.

Obama previously sent a letter to the IOC in support of Chicago, saying that the city would promise a “spectacular Olympic experience for one and all.”

Chicago’s Democratic Mayor Richard M. Daley, who is already in Copenhagen, said he was thrilled that the president and first lady would be joining him.

“President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama symbolize the hope, opportunity, and inspiration that make Chicago great,” Daley said in a statement, “and we are honored to have two of the city’s most accomplished residents leading our delegation in Copenhagen.”

Perhaps we should temporarily change the name Office of the Presidency to Office of the Chief Social Director. Obama ignores substantial issues facing America and instead runs around like a high school girl social director. "Look at me! See how important I am! Does my panty line show!" Obama is obviously in over his head and since he has no substance, he tries to dazzle us with BS.

Top Ten Reasons for Two Tax Payer Funded Trips: 1. He is promoting an Olympic Lying contest. 2. He wants the Chicago Olympics to be where the venue for the New World Currency. 3 He would like to exhibit American Olympic Socialized Athletic Health Care. 4. It was a good excuse for another narcissistic Photo, Radio and TV shoot/speech in Denmark. 5. Community organizing cannot place atheletic events at lower priorities than Nuclear War Events, Terrorism Events or Hell Care. 6. BO and Michelle had a private plane race going on. 7. Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to the President, needed a break after taking so much heat for not vetting the now gone czar Van Jones. 8. Why not kick off the New Federal Fiscal Year, Oct 1, with a masterfully expensive visit to the Old World? 9. Oprah needed to start taking her first of many payoff trips for her part in bringing in the vote. 10. Edu Scy, Duncan wants to opt for sports vice the child per day killings in his former Chicago schools.

Ever in search of a venue, a stage, a microphone, teleprompter and camera. Spare no expense, Mr. Obama, eh? Why bother to stay put in the Oval Office and actually do some work? Perhaps you fear the worst - possibly failing at something, much like every one of your predecessors and all of us have done - and managed to live with and rebound from.

Obuma must laugh himself to sleep every night thinking of the dummies that put him in power and are still listening him. All that garbage about fighting global warming and reducing government waste. All you concerned kool-ade drinking Obamaite's are the biggest bunch of fools. All we need to top this off is to catch Berry, Pelosi and Oprah in the sack together.

"Obama did not think the short trip abroad would harm his efforts to promote health care reform." Is this all he can think about?? The sooner we can give this clown (and all his minions, and I do mean ALL) the boot, the better we'll be. We're nothing more than subjects to do the bidding of His Worship and I've gotten sick and tired of seeing his face everywhere I go on the Web.

brwils (5 hours ago)

BO's carbon footprint is the only thing that can rival his ego in size.

jsmithcsa (7 hours ago)

That would explain Algore and his minions having massive protests against global warming and the president failing to pay his carbon tax. Oh, he isn't? Where's Algore? Not protesting? More proof that this global warming/climate change mess is just a load of partisan ****.

southernguy (8 hours ago)

I am not surprised about this. Just shows the new administration does not care about the people they supposedly work for. Just keep adding cost to the taxpayers. Will it ever end?

JAY LENO: "MICHELE OBAMA: 'CHRIS MATTHEWS, GET AWAY FROM MY HUSBAND.'"

G-20 protestors in Pittsburgh

EDITORIAL EXEGESIS

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi berated town hall and tea party protesters this month, tearfully warning they'd incite violence. Well, there's been violence all right, at Pittsburgh's G-20. But it wasn't the tea partiers. It takes gall to characterize ordinary Americans, freely exercising their rights of speech and assembly in civic forums, as 'mobs' while ignoring a pack of leftist thugs now smashing a U.S. city. But that's what Pelosi did, directing her righteous tocsin to the Norman Rockwell-like gatherings of Americans who opposed her expansion of government this past summer. 'I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw ... I saw this myself in the late '70s in San Francisco,' Pelosi said, choking up, her eyes brimming with tears. 'This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and ... I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made,' she told a congressional forum Sept. 17 in a bid to silence peaceful protesters. Scroll ahead one week to the G-20 summit in Pittsburgh: Some 1,000 hooded rioters descend on the city waving signs such as 'Smash the G-20' and 'Eat the Rich.' Many take 'direct action' to 'challenge capitalism' in what organizers brazenly call an 'unpermitted protest.' Unlike the town hall citizens, they didn't 'hurl' statements -- just tire irons, bricks and rocks, in an effort to damage private businesses. ... This kind of violence is nothing new. It was found in Seattle in 1999, where former Obama administration green czar Van Jones got himself arrested. It was repeated at other summits in Turin, Italy; Washington, D.C.; and London. These leftists detest capitalism, abhor private property -- and have ties to the Democratic Party. The unwillingness of the Democratic establishment to defend free markets emboldens the rioters. In destroying private property and impeding trade, these anarchists prove their aims aren't democratic. They resemble the mobs of Castro's Cuba who engage in violence against citizens to enforce conformity. The outrage of it all raises questions about Pelosi's real agenda in her one-sided criticism of tea partiers. By criticizing only tea partiers and ignoring rampant thugs, she seeks to repress peaceful dissent. With that setup, it's no surprise that there's a mudslide of violence now rolling down on us from an energized radical left." --Investor's Business Daily

"Absolute power corrupts even when exercised for humane purposes. The benevolent despot who sees himself as a shepherd of the people still demands from others the submissiveness of sheep. The taint inherent in absolute power is not its inhumanity but its anti-humanity." --American author Eric Hoffer (1902-1983)

UPRIGHT

"President Obama's speech to the United Nations has been called naive and even 'post-American.' It was something else, as well: the most extravagant excursion into self-worship we have yet seen in an American leader. Beware of politicians who claim to be 'humbled by the responsibility the American people have placed upon me.' It's a neon sign flashing the opposite. And sure enough, in almost the next sentence, the president allowed that 'I am well aware of the expectations that accompany my presidency around the world.' Really? The whole world pulses with hope and expectation because Obama is president? People in Amsterdam, Sao Paulo and Taipei have a spring in their step because an Illinois Democrat won the White House?" --columnist Mona Charen

"America is 233 years old. Some think that there are ample accomplishments speaking to our character and cause that predate Obama's ascension to the presidency. Feh, Obama seems to be saying. Look instead to our new greatness, for we have elected a man like him! Having anointed himself America's vindicator and redeemer, Obama's real purpose seems to be to become the leader not of the free world but, simply, the world." --columnist Jonah Goldberg

"With President Obama presiding over 'the historic session,' the U.N. Security Council approved unanimously an American resolution committing all nations to work for -- please sit up straight for this -- a world free of nuclear weapons. Somewhere in the fine print was a clause praising small babies, little puppies and chocolate candy. The resolution was so harmless that even Russia, China and several 'developing' nations (the usual euphemism for the socialist satraps) voted for the resolution." --columnist Wesley Pruden

"The president's announcement that the United States would not deploy long-range missile defenses in Eastern Europe after all was astonishing because George W. Bush had negotiated so patiently with the Czechs and Poles, who took considerable risks in cooperating with Washington. ... The Poles, Czechs and everyone else must hope that Obama got something from Russia in return. For now, the president looks more chump than champ. The president's men made him look like a rube just off the turnip truck for how he gave the word to the Polish and Czech presidents, treating them to a midnight telephone call the night before he announced his decision. It looked like an afterthought, and probably felt that way, too." --columnist Suzanne Fields

Braying Jackass: "[T]his crazy anti-government talk [at town hall meetings] isn't improving any body's life. The clown show is over. It's better now to look like you're at least hopeful of getting a better health care plan for the country, even if you vote against it." --MSNBC's Chris Matthews

It's not really good for the Republicans and the country, what's going on now. I mean, they may be hurting President Obama. They can take his numbers down, they can run his opposition up. But fundamentally, he and his team have a positive agenda for America." --Bill Clinton when asked about the "vast, right-wing conspiracy"

Foolish praise: "You are our number one propagandist, in the good sense that a propagandist presents their viewpoint very well. Maybe no one does it better." --CNN's Larry King to filmmaker Michael Moore

Race card: "Racism is as American as apple pie. The presence of a president that as African blood is very, very troublesome to many in this country." --King Salim Khalfani, president of the Virginia NAACP (And without "racism," Khalfani would be out of a job.)

Non Compos Mentis: "I know it wasn't rape-rape. It was something else but I don't believe it was rape-rape." --Whoopi Goldberg of ABC's "The View" on film director Roman Polanski, arrested this week in a 30-year-old rape case

SHORT CUTS

"There's a new book out about Barack and Michelle Obama's marriage and in it they say Michelle Obama was very upset by all these drooling blondes who would push up to her husband and rub themselves up against him. They said this one blonde was especially suggestive and kept rubbing up against the President. Finally, Michelle said, 'Look, Chris Matthews, get away from my husband.'" --comedian Jay Leno

"Obama is, we are told, the smartest man to sit in the Oval in many a year. And yet he is capable of truly flabbergasting fatuities like this: 'In this hall, we come from many places, but we share a common future." You don't say? That's right up there with Warren Harding's declaration that 'the future lies before us.'" --columnist Mona Charen

"For progressives in the Age of Obama, setting high academic standards is secondary to the self-improvement of the 'whole child' and 'service' to the cause of social justice. Out: readin', writin' and 'rithmetic. In: rappin', revolution and radicalism." --columnist Michelle Malkin

"The White House said swine flu vaccines will be in doctors' offices Monday. Many parents are refusing to have their kids vaccinated. They're afraid the kids will walk out of the doctor's office clapping their hands and chanting Barack Hussein Obama." --comedian Argus Hamilton

Check it out:
http://www.TheObamaFile.com/ObamaNaturalBorn.htm

CORPORATE JETS? YOU WON'T BELIEVE NANCY PELOSI'S AIR FORCE JET FOR HER WEEKLY COMMUTES TO SAN FRANCISCO

The Jet is a USAF Boeing 757.

*And they STILL want to talk about Sarah's clothing??

Hello? Is anyone
listening to this?

*MADAME PELOSI*

Madame Pelosi wasn't happy with the small private jet that came with the Speaker's job...no, Madame Pelosi was aggravated that her little jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat 757-200 seat jet that could get her back to California without stopping!

Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with glee as Joe informed everyone what Nancy's Big Fat Jet costs us, the hard working American Taxpayers, for the thousands of gallons of fuel every week.

Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California , cost to the taxpayers of about $60,000 one way!

As Joe put it, 'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday Night.' Cost to us is another $60,000. Folks, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000. No wonder she complains about the cost of this war...it might cramp her style and she is styling, on my back and yours.

I think of the military families in this country doing without and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of this country, keeps fueling that jet while doing nothing.

Madame Pelosi wants you and me to conserve our carbon footprint. She wants us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and air up our tires.

These people are nuts.

If you think this is outrageous, forward it to all those on your email list!

Keep in mind the figures above do NOT include cost of plane or crew, just fuel!

One wonders what her total package cost us? And she wants to tax OUR Ira's & 401K's.....

WHEN THEY CRY "RACIST" THEY ARE TELLING YOU HOW MUCH THEY FEAR A CONSERVATIVE

Political Cartoon by Jerry Holbert

This piece by Lloyd Marcus, a black conservative,

is called "Stop Allowing The Left To Set The Rules",

and deals with the alleged racism of the anti-Obama opposition.

As Mr Marcus notes:

The Left published a cartoon depicting former black Secretary of State Condolezza Rice as an Aunt Jemima; another depicted Rice as a huge-lipped parrot for her Massa Bush. Neither were considered racist by their creators or publishers, or even widely condemned on the Left.

In opposition to black Republican Michael Steele's campaign torun for U.S. Senate, a liberal blogger published a doctored photo of Steele in black face and big red lips made to look like a minstrel. The caption read, "Simple Sambo wants to move to the big house". Not one Democrat denounced these racist portrayals of black conservatives.

True. Nobody minds liberal commentators expressing the hope that Clarence Thomas "will die early from heart disease like many black men", etc. Contemporary identity-group politics are prototype one-party states: If you're a black Republican Secretary of State, you're not really black. If you're a female Republican vice-presidential nominee, you're not really a woman. What's racist and sexist here is the notion that, if you're black or female, your politics is determined by your group membership.

But, if we're talking about letting the left "set the rules", Mr Marcus' column reminded me of a larger point: Don't take your opponents at face value; listen to what they're really saying. What does the frenzy unleashed on Sarah Palin last fall tell us? What does Newsweek's "Mad Man" cover on Glenn Beck mean? Why have "civility" drones like Joe Klein so eagerly adopted Anderson Cooper's scrotal "teabagging" slur and characterized as "racists" and "terrorists" what are (certainly by comparison with the anti-G20 crowd) the best behaved and tidiest street agitators in modern history?

They're telling you who they really fear. Whom the media gods would destroy they first make into "mad men". Liz Cheney should be due for the treatment any day now.

Sad to say, many who should know better go along with it. Our old comrade David Frum wrote a piece called "Whose Side Is Glenn Beck On?" Well, in the space of a week Beck claimed the scalps of Van Jones, Acorn and that Yosi Sergant guy at the NEA, none of whom should ever have been anywhere near the corridors of power but who'd still be there if it weren't for Beck. So whoever's side he is on, it seems pretty clear he's not on the Obama Administration's. Hence, Media Matters' sudden obsession with such pressing concerns as Glenn's mom's three decade-old suicide.

The media would like the American right to be represented by the likes of Bob Dole and John McCain, decent old sticks who know how to give dignified concession speeches. Last time round, we went along with their recommendation. If you want to get rave reviews for losing gracefully, that's the way to go. If you want to win, look at whom the Democrats and their media chums are so frantic to destroy: That's the better guide to what they're really worried about.

PALIN SCORES, MEDIA FOULS OUT

Palin’s Hong Kong Speech:

I Can See Insanity From My Newsroom

by John Ziegler
MEDIA MATTERS
BIGGOVERNMENT.COM
THURSDAY, 24 SEPTEMBER 09

You would think at this point it would be impossible for anyone (especially me) to be stunned or outraged by anything the news media tries to pull when it comes to Sarah Palin. After all, once you have been exposed to a year-long brutal beating, one tends to become numb to a simple low blow. However, the news coverage of her Hong Kong speech still managed to spark the senses on several levels.

Hong Kong Asia Sarah Palin

First, it must be noted that it is rather incredible that this speech got as much play as it did. Remember, this is a private citizen from Alaska who was a “failed” vice-presidential candidate, who has given no official indication she is ever going to run for anything ever again. The speech was a private affair in a foreign country and contained no real “news” whatsoever. The news media was barred and were forced to cobble together bits and pieces of what was said from the paying customers who attended. And yet, nearly every major publication gave the event heavy play and links to FOUR of those articles were displayed prominently on the Drudge Report all day long.

This is simply extraordinary, a true testament to Palin’s enduring star power and just how much the media still desperately wants/needs their favorite target to stick around. It is also a vindication of her much maligned post-resignation strategy.

The initial element that shocked me about the coverage of this Hong Kong event (other than its magnitude) was that, at first glance, the reporting left a remarkably positive impression of the speech. The New York Times in its second paragraph reluctantly admitted that those in attendance thought, “she was articulate, well-prepared and even compelling.” You can almost see the Times reporter and editors cringing at having to allow the Old Grey Lady to be soiled by such blasphemy to the modern liberal as the acknowledgement that Palin is not a complete dunce.

The AFP service’s first quote in their article was, “She was brilliant,” though they added the caveat that this assessment came from a delegate who requested their anonymity (presumably to protect the ability to make future dinner reservations in New York or Los Angeles). Meanwhile, Bloomberg, after quoting someone who left the speech early as calling it “boring,” at least allowed the head of the sponsoring group to call it “a great speech.”

But a closer look at the coverage reveals that Palin Derangement Syndrome is still a robust strain within the news media and that the rules for reporting on her are completely different than anyone else in public life.

The most egregious example of this probably came from Time magazine whose account claimed she ducked questions (when she did indeed take them), was laced with only disparaging comments form those in attendance, and which had a top ten list of Palin “spoofs” embedded right in the middle of the web version. But an item in both the New York Times and Associated Press accounts of the address deserves an extra special critique.

In a classic example of the grossly distorted prism through which the Times sees all events (especially those involving Palin), their writer arbitrarily decided, with zero evidence, that the purpose of the speech was to “broaden her foreign policy credentials” for a 2012 presidential run. This then opened the door for the “reporter” to make a pronouncement that should set a new definition for the word gratuitous and a fresh standard for shoddy journalism.

ap-752449

The Times actually deemed it appropriate to publish: “Mrs. Palin was faulted during the campaign last year for her lack of foreign policy experience and expertise. As the governor of Alaska, she said in her own defense, she had a unique insight because ‘you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska’ — a remark that was widely lampooned.”

This is simply a stunning statement coming from the newspaper of “record.” Palin “was faulted for her lack of foreign policy experience and expertise”? By whom? For what reason? The reality is that Palin’s foreign policy experience, while meager, was still greater than our current President whose nonexistent credentials (little more than a mysterious college trip to Pakistan) were never remotely questioned by the media, and a rudimentary examination of the Vice-Presidential debate reveals that it was Joe Biden who made all the significant foreign policy blunders.

But even that pales in comparison with to the “see Russia” gem.

First, the now infamous “Russia” statement was clearly made as an aside in Palin’s interview with Charlie Gibson. Palin knew that the vast majority of American’s had no idea of the geographical proximity of Russia to Alaska (which, until after the Civil War, was actually part of Russia) and said it in a “gee, isn’t this an interesting fact?” sort of way.

Second, what she said was 100% factually accurate and relevant. As for the “lampooning” of the remark, that was done inaccurately by a comedy show with an obvious agenda. The Times should be embarrassed (if that’s still possible) even mentioning the episode in this context and to not at least point out the full context, as I just did, is flat out Media Malpractice.

As pathetic as the Times reporting was, the Associated Press was downright juvenile in taking the exact same page out of the anti-Palin playbook. They wrote, “she was ridiculed during the campaign after contending her state’s proximity to Russia gave her foreign policy experience. “You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska,” she said.

time

However, amazingly, the AP hardly stopped there. They ended their piece of trash with this beauty: “Hari Sevugan, a spokesman for the Democratic National Committee, said Tuesday the group knew little about Palin’s speech. ‘We’re curious as to what she’s willing to say in private but not in public,’ Sevugan said. ‘Are there other countries that she can see from her window that she doesn’t want us to know about?’”

This is truly astonishing. Forgetting that the DNC feels like it needs to use old, factually empty, Saturday Night Live skits to ridicule a private citizen, how absurd is it that the Associated Press has no problem ending their “report” on Palin’s speech with a blatantly inaccurate quote from a highly partisan source without even at least a mention that Palin never came close to saying anything about seeing other countries from her “window.”

This issue is a particular pet peeve of mine. After the election I paid a lot of money for a controversial Zogby poll which exposed that 87% of Obama voters wrongly thought that Sarah Palin had said she could she Russia from her “house” when it was actually Tina Fey who had said that on SNL. Then, after I appeared on The View, I was interviewed on Barbara Walters’ radio show and, incredibly, she revealed that even she was under the delusion that Sarah Palin had actually said that. Unfortunately, even some “conservative” commentators have bought at least partially into this myth.

In the coverage of Palin’s speech we see some of the many spoiled fruits of both the insidious nature of the news media and of conservatives being either unwilling or simply unable to win even the easiest of battles. If a year later we still can’t correct the record about a simple factual statement Sarah Palin made about the geographic location of her home state, how the hell can the truth win any argument?!

While it’s obviously the media’s fault that this lie has become such a large part of the Palin mythology, I have been disappointed with the timid response of conservatives on this issue and others like it. My guess is that it is because we can’t believe that people really believe this crap (trust me, the evidence is overwhelming that they do) and that , with only occasional access to talk radio and Fox News, it is just too hard to correct so we move on to other more pressing matters.

While this view is understandable, it is also remarkably shortsighted. Much like Obama was elected largely because Republicanism was killed by a series of unreputed legends over the previous ten years (Clinton was impeached for sex, Bush stole Florida, Bush lied about WMD in Iraq, Bush caused Katrina, Republicans caused the economic meltdown, etc.), the same death by a thousand lies could befall Palin.

Regardless of your view of her, our side just doesn’t have nearly enough talent to allow anyone like her to be needlessly taken out. On the bright side, the outrageous coverage of Palin’s first major post resignation speech proves that the news media is convinced that they haven’t yet finished the job.

Sarah Palin is the first politician I have grown to love due to her enemies.
She loves Guns, babies, Jesus and America and she drives those that don't crazy!!!
I am a Democrat and voted for McCain in the hopes he would beat President Harrison in the shortest term presidency and allow Palin to become President.
Palin reeks of integrity the way Ron Paul does.

Palin, I'm not sure what to think about her as a potential successful politician.
I like her and as John says we are woefully short on conservative representation at the moment
but, can she overcome the image the media has given her and they will continue to apply the pressure.
Can she overcome in the ballot booth with or without the Black Panthers patrolling the corridors.
As I mentioned I like everything about her professionally speaking as well as personally but some doubt
remains as I believe it does elsewhere in the Republican sphere.

Don't worry John, as long as she continues to bring "it", speaks truth to power, and keeps her smart wit and good looks, she will have so much viable content in the public canon that the "Russia from my house" comment will slowly abate. Reagan endured it with flying colors, so can Palin.

It's becoming so simple to find the right path through the political mine-field--If the Democrats are in favor, I'm against it. If the news media says it, I doubt it. If a politician says its critically important, I know it's pork.

Increasingly, the irrelevance of the liberal media becomes more obvious, at least to people who actually can think without a government grant or handout. I'll stick with the Giles/O'Keefes/Breitbarts of the world vs anyone from MSM on any given day. Perhaps we just say what needs to be said..."You Lie!"

What they're scared about in the 2010 election cycle, let alone 2012, is Palin's celebrity factor, and her ability to raise money for conservative candidates, with the Hong Kong speech and its reaction just serving to highlight her drawing power.

By this time next year, if you check the big media outlets, you're going to think that Sarah Palin is running for every single House, Senate, gubernatorial, state legislative and administrative seat in the country, because the Democrats and the media will be shreaking at the top of their lungs about the threat Palin (and her ilk) pose to the nation.

You have nailed it on the head! The FACT remains, which has yet to be fully recognized, that the Left controls the media, universities, the entertainment industry, the schools, and now the entire government. We wonder why conservatism and the republican party is faltering and falling behind the tide of change that has taken an almost complete grip of history and the American experience. Yes, those Americans that still know the truth and hold to traditional American values must not only step forward and reclaim this country at the ballot box but better get back the cultural institutions that define who we are and shape who we are in the future. Otherwise, all is lost. We will not win. This is not rocket science. Do you really think all that has happened in the last year has been a coincidence, an accident? So, keep doing what your doing Big Hollywood..but you better start thinking about growing beyond a little web site if you really think you will be able to slay the monster that we all helped create in one way or another and restore the republic.

If the MSM-DNC (the new AFL-CIO) had its way, the "see Russia from my house" misquote will be chiseled on her headstone. same with "PotatoE" on Quayle's, etc., etc., etc.

But if the absolutely GAFFTASTIC Joe Biden says something as utterly idiotic as 'Roosevelt going on TV when the market crashed...' you'll hear nothing but crickets from them.

that, my friends, is why Algore is starting to regret ever inventing the internet. thank you Lord for Breitbart, Townhall, et. al.

She's got MY vote if for no other reason than to tick off the New York Times!
I find Sarah Palin to be one of the ONLY straight talking conservatives out there. Strangely the left's obsession with her works to her favor. If they were to ignore her she would not have the traction she continues to benefit from. I hated the fact that the republicans chose McLame despite the fact I am an Arizonan. I only lit up once he made the decision to pick Sarah. The only decision he made that I agreed with. She represents what I think all politicians should be, concerned activist citizens who get fed up with all the BS we are forced to eat. SP is the GENUINE ARTICLE. When you speak from your heart and your convictions are in the right place, you do not need a teleprompter and you never need worry about having told one lie to one group and have it come back to haunt you at a later date. Keep going Sarah, James, Andrew, and especially Hannah, you are the base of the new republican party. Out with all the old and in with the new. If we can just survive the woodstock crowd the nation will shine again.

I think Sarah Palin would give anyone a run for their money for any office. I would vote for her in a heart beat.

She has a legal defense fund if anyone would like to help her and her family.

http://www.sarahpalinsdefensefund.com/
Sarah Palin is a true philosophical progeny of Ronald Reagan. She has walked the walk. What peeked my attention, before her now fabled run as Vice President, was her challenge to corrupt authority within her own political party. A great deal I have learned since then only makes me more vociferous in my support for the soon to be Madame President. She is not only guine in her beliefs but more importantly she is not part of the Yale/Harvard bubble mentality that has gotten us into so much trouble.
I couldn't agree more with Mr. Ziegler's premise that distortions and lies will become truth if unanswered. It's been driving me crazy for years. It's what bothered me about Bush's reluctance to take on his critics -- either directly or through surrogates. How many times did we hear that Bush lied about WMDs without a retort from the White House?

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Sarah Palin and agree that we should vigorously point out the truth whenever the press or pundits attack her intelligence. It's an uphill battle though.

I do not understand why those with a problem with Palin who made comments like "she is only the governor of the least populous state in the union" did not have a problem with Dean who actually was the governor from the least populous state and one of the smallest states in the union.

In my opinion, the MSM attacks are great for Sarah. With every one, they lose credibility while she gains it. Middle Americans are slow to make judgements, but they eventually despise those who lack honor. Sarah outshines the MSM like a rose in a garbage dump. Ultimately, they are ensuring her place in the White House.

I have high hopes for Sarah Palin. She is a rock star.More in her little pinky than a boatful of dems. And they will sink themselves with their vitriol remarks. Sarah is no quitter. Everyone better put on their best shoes to keep up with her. When she decides to go, go, go, noone will be able to stop her. I laugh to myself when I think of how she stirs them up without even trying. And when she does try, watch out. I love that woman.
