She is an useful idiot for the Left that will fade away, angry and barren. In my post, I point out her hatred of Palin isn't about Sarah, but about Todd. Deep down inside she hates the fact a good man loves Sarah and not her.

Agree with you totally, Newt is more than the best qualified and presidential. Not only can he run circles around Obama and beat him, but he's the only Conservative who has the skills to fundamentally change Washington down to it's roots. To change the Washington way of doing business that every American has grown to hate. To me, Newt Gingrich is a John Adams type figure, a man at a time when the country really needs a truly gifted person with big ideas. Go Newt! GO!

Newt IS the most articulate guy in the race... with an amazing knowledge & understanding of history and real solutions to America's real problems. Is he the perfect candidate? No... but those don't exist in the real world. But Newt debating Obozo? That should be on Pay-Per-View!

I admire Santorum for his strong faith & family message (America needs that, too) - but I don't see that winning the election... not at this juncture. Plus, with all due respect to Rick, he does a poor job at articulating whatever it is he wants to say.

As for Romney, I just don't like the guy... and apparently, up to 60% of GOP voters feel that way. They've been screaming from the beginning, "We don't want Mitt!" He does look presidential at times, but also comes across as a slick politician. We're tired of those.

Give me... give America... a guy with brains and a boldness to call the islamic nut jobs what they are: terrorists, murderers, evil. Give us a Commander In Chief who's ready to kick some islamic *ss and remind the rest of the world that America is a just nation, but we won't be trifled with. Give us someone who understands that we wouldn't be staring at $5-a-gallon gas if we would have concentrated on drilling 10 years ago (unlike the traitor in the WH who continues to impede the use of America's natural resources at every turn). Give us Newt for President. And get that America-hating, muslim sympathizing, turncoat out of the oval office!

Romney is the GOP puppet. Hand picked and says whatever his handlers think he should say. It doesn't matter if he changes his mind from week to week. He will never get past "RomneyCare" in Nov.
Santorum apparently thinks he is God. Nothing but Social Issues. He wants us all to live the life he has chosen. Can he talk about anything else?
Paul actually makes some sense on National Issues, but he screws it all up with his foreign policy.
Newt is easily the most intelligent and qualified of the four. $5 million in negative ads/lies from Romney destroyed him in Fl; otherwise he would be a front runner, and it would be a lot better race towards the convention.
Get rid of the Super Pacs and put a cap on the money each can spend, and it would be a lot clearer to everyone who the best candidate really is. Throw in some more debates and it becomes "crystal clear".
Its really a no brainer, but it looks like we'll be stuck with the "puppet" and another loss in Nov...

It was a false security that created the bondage. "Where you gonna go, and what you gonna do?" had more power than a dog handled by a shotgun wielding overseer. I just did a random Google search of myself, and I am flattered to be quoted in a blog, and I am flattered that the New York Times readers recommended my comment the most (I did not know this).

I think the idea that non-conservatives -- I am not a typical "liberal" and vote pretty moderately -- have a problem with stereotyping conservatives is disingenuous. Stereotypes suggest an irrational opinion without supporting evidence, such as "blacks are lazy" or "gays are sex addicts." However, anti-gay policy is central to modern conservatism, even though you sound uncomfortable with this reality. Santorum is one of the most virulent ant-gay politicians alive today, and he essentially tied Mitt Romney for first place in the Iowa Caucus. I do not know how much more mainstream that this anti-gay candidate can get before you realize how central social conservatism is to the modern Republican party!

Many conservatives tend to not like newspapers -- study after study shows that a disproportionately large amount get their news primarily from talk radio and Fox News -- and so this explains why many newspapers do not have large Republican readerships.

In today's off-the-deep-end Republican party, which is much more extreme than in the past, people do not like facts that challenge their world view.

Now that Mr. Donofrio has found solid evidence proving that Spiro Agnew's father was indeed a citizen of our country, Obama cannot point to this case as a precedent. But if evidence has been found that shows that Obama is not a natural born citizen, and if he can no longer point to a precedent, how can we translate these facts into action? When I was a boy, I remember the tricks I would play on birds, simply out of that bold and exuberant playfulness which children have when they are young. What I would do is stand very still, facing the bird, and wait until it would turn its head away. When it wasn't looking, I'd take one small step in the bird's direction, and then stop, and then remain very still. Of course the bird's head would turn in my direction once again. But by then it was too late, for my footfall was in the blink of a human eye, and thus the bird would not see that I had moved a little toward it. And then it would look away again. Then I'd take another small and quick step, and again it would look my way. Then another step. Then another. And finally it got to the point at which I could almost leap out at the bird and catch it with my bare hands. But alas, even with my human intelligence, it was never enough, because our winged friends have this God-given sense within them which alerts them when a potential predator comes too close in proximity to them. And lucky for them!

My point here is that the so-called government of this country is like a human predator slowly but surely closing in on its prey. We are the bird, and our predator has for some time now been taking small, silent and subtle steps toward us in order to pounce upon us and slaugther us. It seems to me that slowly but surely, the "government" is taking away many of our priveleges, freedoms and even rights. And they have been doing this in a way which has left us almost unaware of what they are doing. If we do not "fly away" now, we will be caught and thrown into the boiling pot. We need to take action NOW in order to avoid the tragedy which threatens us even now: the downfall of our great country. If Rome itself fell to pieces, so can we. God save us all.

I remember your 2008 Pied Piper prediction very well. It was and still is a great mental image. We must hope and pray that only the rats go into the pit and trap, while those who truly love God and Country can continue on as God Loving patriots.
