I have no doubt at all
that the first time the silk-suited barbarians
who rule this nation [the United States]
and run the media
had ever heard of a place called Honduras
was a few days ago.
Now they have suddenly morphed into experts i
n Honduran law, government and history.
Having myself spent more time in Honduras
than Obama has spent as president
—much more time in fact—
I can safely state unequivocally
that he and his people are ass jacks in the purest form.
The facts of the present crisis in Honduras
are as clear as can be.
President—now ex-president—Zelaya
took office in 2006.
The Honduran Constitution limits presidential terms
to one four year term.
He wanted another term,
but the constitution does not allow itself to be changed
in such a way to permit this.
Zelaya then proposed a referendum
to convene an assembly to write a new constitution
so that he could serve another term as president.
A Honduran court ruled the proposed referendum illegal. Zelaya then asked the nation’s highest ranking military officer, Romeo Velásquez,
to help him with the now illegal referendum.
Velásquez refused, and Zelaya fired him.
The Supreme Court as well as the Congress called the firing illegal.
The Supreme Court then ordered the military
to act. It seized Zelaya
and hustled him out of the country.
Some interesting and relevant background on Zelaya is that he is a committed leftist and anti-American with ties to both Chavez in Venezuela and Morales in Bolivia. Both of these fellows are as well committed leftists and anti-Americans. Like Obama Zelaya spent his early political career as a community organizer. Like Obama he has been accused of being anti-business. Like Obama, who left Chicago with one of the highest murder rates in the US, Zelaya left Honduras with one of the highest murder rates in Latin America.
More background: What happened in Honduras is not at all unique in Latin America. In fact, it has been common there since its independence from Spain in the early 19th century. Coups, counter-coups, and military intervention in politics have been present in every single Latin American nation. Such upheavals have sometimes resembled an opéra bouffe and sometimes resembled the bloody civil wars of the Roman Republic. The political instability and the economic insecurity such upheavals bring are part of life south of the Rio Grande.
To understand Latin America one needs to understand that the military does not have the same role as the military in the US. It was from the first heavily involved in politics. Its role was three-fold: to protect against foreign invasion; to control the populace; and—the crucial point—to act as the “savior of the nation.” In other words, the militaries of Latin America have all intervened in politics when the very structure of the nation was in danger. This usually took the form of stopping a leftist coup against the State—and this was exactly what happened in Honduras. The army acted as it was meant to act. A leftist with support from Castro and Chavez tried to overthrow the State, but was stopped by the Honduran army.
Really, there is absolutely nothing new or surprising here. There is also nothing new or surprising that Obama has taken sides with the anti-American Zelaya. Obama always sides with America haters. He is in fact an America hater himself.
And how delicious is this headline, one that made me a bit jealous of the boldness of the Honduran military.
“ARMY OVERTHROWS HONDURAS PRESIDENT IN VOTE DISPUTE”
Before you begin to wail and gnash your teeth about our own military doing something likewise, you might ponder these words from Thomas Sowell himself.
When I see the worsening degeneracy in our politicians, our media, our educators, and our intelligentsia, I can’t help wondering if the day may yet come when the only thing that can save this country is a military coup.
Both Obama and Zelaya are in every sense of the term outlaws. Zelaya tried to go around the Honduran Constitution; Obama goes around our own—unless you believe that seizing car and insurance companies, running the next census, taking control of banks and appointing a bunch of czars accountable only to Obama are powers that can be found in the US Constitution. To men like Obama and Zelaya, laws are mere pieces of paper that lawless men can simply ignore.
Perhaps the true reason why Obama supports Zelaya is because he fears the fate of that petty Honduran tyrant will be his fate as well.

The FACT that he was not born of TWO US CITIZEN PARENTS is all that matters. The question of his birth certificate is a distraction (a distraction fostered by Obama’s supporters?) that ought not to occupy our time and resources.
However, it is possible that he is not a United States
citizen at all even if he was born in Kenya, as three witnesses have testified. The reason is because his mother could not pass her US citizenship on to her son because she did not live continuously in the United States for five full years after her fourteenth birthday as required by the US immigration law in effect during that period of time.

corrected by his resignation, which could happen if the public presssure on him to resign becomes great enough, or (3) by his removal by the United States Supreme Court affirming a Quo Warranto decision of the United States Federal District Court for the District of Columbia [which process Attorney General Eric Holder would never allow to even begin] or (4) by an amendment to the Constitution,
